About Jen the Wedding Photographer

 

I am a full time wedding photographer available for weddings and lifestyle shoots on the Central Coast, in the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and beyond. I work to ensure your photos reflect you in a natural, effortless way. I’ve photographed weddings full time for more than 10 years and still cannot wait for the next one. Most of my clients tell me they are awkward, un-photogenic and generally terrible in front of the camera. Naturally I disagree, but I certainly relate to that feeling. 

My love for photography began as a teenager when my closet was converted to a darkroom and I became obsessed with film and the printing process. Slowly my love for photographs led me to discover that I really love people and photography is what allows me to tell the stories of the many beautiful people I am lucky to meet. I do not subcontract my weddings which means if you book me, I’m going to be the one with you on your big day. 

I approach wedding days with love and respect for all of the relationships involved, which means I try to include family and friends in the process. Most of the day becomes documentary style as I try to fade into the background, but occasionally there is a killer glamour shot just waiting to be taken and I’m there for that too.
